"Artificial intelligence and human intelligence. The crucial challenges for a better world"
Fondazione Mondo Digitale in collaboration with theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma presents the XVI edition of RomeCup 2023. The multi-event dedicated to the innovation ecosystem to bring young people closer to study and careers in the STEAM field and to develop highly sought-after professional skills and profiles, such as those in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence, will take place on 3 and 4 May at the University and achievement May 5 in the Capitol where the final stages of the competitions will be held with the awarding of the winning teams.
By title "Advancing Technology for Humanity - Artificial intelligence and human intelligence. The crucial challenges for a better world", just over a month after its inception, the next edition has already recorded over 2 requests to participate, 120 teams already competing, 15 varsity teams candidates for robotics competitions, 25 organizations present in the exhibition area dedicated to innovative prototypes designed by schools, companies, start-ups, universities and research centres. In addition to the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, will exhibit: the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna Pisa, the National Research Council, the Sapienza University of Rome, the IRCCS San Raffaele of Rome and the San Raffaele telematic University, the University of Rome Tor Vergata, the University of Roma Tre and the Polytechnic University of Marche. 13 university orientation talks by the various universities present, already scheduled. Among the specializations illustrated: robotics linked to cybersecurity, marine sciences and medicine, engineering and related professions, digital humanities.
The program of meetings in which scholars, educators and scientists will discuss various topics, from the contribution of artificial intelligence to safeguarding the planet, up to the ethical implications of man-machine interaction, is substantial. One session will host the debate between the top management of large companies on the artificial intelligence revolution.
Fondazione Mondo Digitale has set up for this edition the "Advancing Technology for Humanity. Most promising researcher in Robotics and AI" award, dedicated to male and female researchers, doctoral students who carry out research activities in centres, bodies, institutes, universities or other public and private structures on robotics and artificial intelligence. By 20 April it is possible to compete for the prize, which provides for a cash contribution of 5 euros. >> Here you can apply
