December 6, 2018 - “Participatory security 4.0: what are the public-private cooperation models”: this was the theme of the round table held last November 30th at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. The event, which served as the setting for the last day of lessons of the th edition of Masters in Homeland Security, wanted to take stock, with some of the main national protagonists, on the methods and forms for increase public-private collaboration in terms of security.
The experts who attended, among which Andrea Chittaro (SNAM and President of AIPSA), Manuel Di Casoli (ex EXPO 2015), Francesco Morelli (Terna), Maria Cristina Fiorentino (Italian FS Group), Sebastiano Caraco (TIM-Telecom Italia) and Thomas the Prophet (Leonardo), have highlighted the growing importance of a strong and synergistic public-private cooperation, which is increasingly part of the social responsability of companies.
In this context, as emerged from the day's work, on the one hand it is necessary to expand the skills and professionalism within the security departments in private companies, while on the other it is also essential improve mutual understanding between public and private operators.
Il Masters in Homeland Security, of which the will start in March XI edition, represents a valid tool capable both of providing the necessary skills and knowledge to those who want to operate in the security sector, and of helping to understand "in the field" how to cooperate with public bodies.
