The five-year collaboration linked to teaching, research and professional updating is underway

7th November 2017 – An agreement to grow together in the safety and rescue sectors. Tuesday 7 NovemberUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and the National Fire Brigade have signed a framework agreement which will officially start a series of collaborations and exchanges of experiences. It was signed by the rector Prof. in the council room of the University. Raffaele Calabrò together with the head of the National Corps, Eng. Gioacchino Giomi.

Among the objectives of the partnership there is the possibility of promoting the professional updating of VVF operators at the Departmental Faculties of Medicine and Engineering UCBM, mutually contributing, among other things, to carrying out studies and research aimed at technological innovation.

With a view to the growth of the University Hospital, the agreement will favor the development of synergies linked to relief and emergencies in the health sector. Furthermore, the agreement will allow the University and its students to come into contact more easily with the experience and specialized centers of the Corps, such as the historic Capannelle training school in Rome and the Montelibretti centre, north of the capital.

Following the signing, the Chief of the National Fire Brigade, Eng. Gioacchino Giomi, accompanied by Engineers Antonio Angelo Porcu and Luca Michelino of the Office of the Chief of the Fire Brigade, by Prof. Roberto Setola, director of the Master in Homeland Security and prof. Marcella Trombetta, delegate of the degree course in Chemical Engineering for Sustainable Development, visited the University facilities and the University Hospital immersed in the Decima Malafede nature reserve.
