From 11 to 15 June, UCBM summer school
31 May 2018 - Coming from all over Italy, they have been selected from over 150 applications: I'm 14 high school students who have won a scholarship thanks to their innovative ideas and who will be involved in seminars and experiments in Industrial, Biomedical and Chemical Engineering.
A special week in Rome to plan your future as a university student and visit the Eternal City: this is it Summer Lab, the summer school, completely free, which will see them as protagonists from 11 to 15 June. Young people, guided by teachers and researchers UCBM, will follow the first 'university lessons' of their lives in the morning and will try their hand at scientific experiments and projects in the afternoon.
The Faculty of Engineering will therefore open its doors to Italian high school students with lessons and laboratories in the seven research areas of Robotics, Automation, Computer Science, Neuroengineering, Electronics, Chemistry and Modeling. The students will be in contact with the various disciplines for a week, orienting themselves between electronic sensors and the synthesis of chemical substances, IT applications and electro-medical equipment.
The students from Rimini, Caserta, Palermo, Foggia, Nardò (Le), Sora (Fr), Fano (PU), Novara, Frascati (Rm) and Rome, told their dreams and aspirations during the selection process, then transformed in a busy calendar of activities that will keep them busy throughout the week between seminars and work in the laboratories. They will be supervised by one or more tutors and will stay in Rome, even spending the evenings together, with a series of social activities and visiting the capital in some of its most significant places.
At the end of the week theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma will issue participants with a certificate valid for the attribution of training credits by schools.
