Rome, November 25th - The champions of As Roma Alessandro Florence e Davide Santon, accompanied by Romulus, the team's official mascot, they met the patients of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital and their families to give away some autographed gadgets and exchange the first Christmas greetings.
As part of the initiatives conducted by the Foundation Roma Cares, the Giallorossi club and its players continue their commitment to hospitals and family homes in the area. In the early afternoon of today the players of the Club, which is based in Piazzale Dino Viola not far from University Hospital, they greeted patients being treated in the medical day hospital and in the wards of the orthopedic unit.
The midfielder and the defender, welcomed by the general director of the university hospital Paolo Sormani expressed their satisfaction and at the end of the meeting the captain of Rome Alessandro Florence he wanted to tell the experience: "Today in one of the rooms we met two gentlemen, one who supported Lazio and the other Napoli: both enjoyed our visit, greeting us with a big smile: well, I believe that when you want to bring a smile like we did, there is no 'it is football faith that holds. This is why we hope to make these visits more and more often to give a smile to those who are less well".
They were greeted by Paolo Sormani, general manager of the University Hospital, who wanted to underline the importance of the presence of the two players for the patients and the local area: “Today is a particularly happy day for our university polyclinic. This visit represents a strengthening of the partnership that we started last summer with Roma: we are particularly happy to collaborate with the Capitoline football club with a series of activities ranging from assistance to research".
