The goal is to involve doctors and trainees UCBM

8 April 2019 - The University Development Cooperation and Volunteering Committee organizes 3 meetings to involve doctors and postgraduates in the cooperation project in Tanzania, in the Rukwa region, the poorest in the country.

The University's objective is in fact to continue the developments of the project started in 2017 with numerous health workcamps, intended as an opportunity to improve the health of the inhabitants of the area, but also as a professional growth for local health personnel and a training opportunity to offer to students and postgraduates.

The headquarters of the project is in the Mvimwa Monastery, the center of 10 villages with 20.000 inhabitants in which a dispensary represents the main health resource for the population.

The immediate objectives will in fact be: the technical and medical improvement of the dispensary, where basic medicine and obstetrics mainly take place, and the realization of surgical missions to operate on children with umbilical hernias.
