29 April 2020 - Also TIM, the largest Italian telecommunications company, become a partner of “Covid-19 Challenge”, the Call for Ideas promoted by Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma e Marzotto Venture Accelerator to help address the global emergency of the Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).
After the recent entry of Enel, Invitalia, FS Technology and Unicredit, TIM, which makes innovation and technological development tools for inclusion and economic and social growth, has decided to make technological skills and resources available to the Challenge. In fact, TIM will carefully examine the projects that will participate in the Challenge, to evaluate the subsequent development of any collaborations.
La Covid-19 Challenge has already collected the candidacy of over hundred young companies and teams, who presented ideas and projects with high technological content in the health, economic and social fields. And it is thanks to the numerous adhesions that the promoters of call4ideas, born with the aim of supporting public policies of containment in the phase of the SARS-CoV-2 health emergency, the management of the post-emergency phase in its various economic dimensions and social issues, the redefinition of the system of prevention, containment and management of new epidemiological and health emergencies, have decided to extend the deadline for applications until 31st May.
“Covid-19 Challenge” sees Marzotto Venture Accelerator make available 5 million euro in services and financing (equity and loans) and marks the debut of the first Open Innovation Academy developed in Italy by a University (Campus Bio-Medico of Rome) with a venture capital fund.
