Sunday 18th May theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma participated in Città Studio – A Sea of ​​Knowledge, the event promoted by theDepartment of Culture of Rome Capital in the splendid setting of Piazza dei Ravennati, a stone's throw from the Pontile di Ostia. A day dedicated to sharing knowledge, free and open to all, with over 50 events including lessons, workshops, artistic performances and informative meetings.

UCBM He was the protagonist with three interventions designed for the general public, to bring central themes for health and sustainable development out of the university classrooms, and bring citizens closer to a concrete and accessible scientific culture:

  • Oncology prevention teacher. Marco Caricato, Vice Dean of the Departmental Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, who highlighted the importance of early diagnosis and healthy lifestyles;
  • Wellbeing and nutrition with the prof Manon Khazrai , dr Claudia Di Rosa, which offered practical ideas for improving the quality of life starting from the table;
  • Sustainable agriculture and smart technologies with the eng. Clemente Lauretti and researchers Alessandro Zompanti e Benedetta Pizziconi, to reflect on how innovation can support a greener and more responsible future.

The participation of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma a Città Studio was a precious opportunity to strengthen the dialogue with the territory and promote conscious choices that generate social value. A concrete gesture of openness towards the community, in line with the University's mission to train professionals capable of combining scientific skills and attention to the person.

The event involved numerous universities, AFAM institutions and the Rome Library Institution, with the organizational support of Zètema Progetto Cultura and the LIS interpretation service to ensure full accessibility of the contents.

An intense day, full of stimuli and meetings, which brought knowledge into direct contact with the city and the sea, demonstrating that the knowledge is a powerful tool for inclusion and collective growth.
