"What does it mean to grow as students and professionals in the age of Artificial Intelligence?" This is the question at the heart of the inauguration of the 2025/2026 academic year of the JUMP Project – Job University Matching Project of RUI Foundation, which took place on Saturday 8 November at the Cu.Bo Auditorium of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma.

Over 400 students took part in the event, engaging in dialogue with the prof Maria Chiara Carrozza, Professor of Industrial Bioengineering at the University of Milan-Bicocca, prof. Andrea Maccarini, Professor of Sociology of Cultural and Communicative Processes at the University of Padua, and the Prof. Simone Ungaro, Co-General Manager Strategy & Innovation of LeonardoThe meeting was introduced by teacher. Rocco Papalia, Rector UCBM and Joseph Ghini, President of Rui Foundation.

The meeting marks the start of the new academic year of JUMP, a three-year interdisciplinary program offered in all of the Rui Foundation's colleges of excellence. Its goal is to integrate academic knowledge with the content and dynamics of the world of work, develop transversal, cognitive, and managerial skills, and contribute to the student's overall education.

Rector Papalia has saidchiarahave: 'L'Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma invests in increasingly experiential, innovative, and international teaching, geared toward preparing people capable of understanding the complexity of the present and serving society. New technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, are valuable tools only when guided by a truly human and responsible vision. This is the vision of the university we want to build, where knowledge becomes service and innovation grows through relationships with others, developing the soft skills that make a difference in work and life.

Joseph Ghini, President of the Rui Foundation, has saidchiarahave: Artificial Intelligence heralds a new technological revolution in the near future. And, as always happens in these cases, society is polarized into two factions: the apocalyptic and the enthusiastic. Both fail to achieve the true goal, which is to prepare for the new, to face it with a critical spirit that, once again drawing on the riches of the humanistic tradition and Christian realism, is nevertheless capable of authentically renewing itself.

Andrea Rossi, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager UCBM, he continued by emphasizing: We are delighted to organize and host this event together with the Rui Foundation. Many of our students have chosen to live in the Rui University Residences, where they find a stimulating environment consistent with our University's educational program, thanks in part to the scholarships our University awards each year in conjunction with the Rui Foundation. Interdisciplinarity, internationalization, the transversality of knowledge, and the development of soft skills are crucial levers for guiding young people into the world of work. The year-long program offered by JUMP reinforces this vision, as it promotes comprehensive training that considers future professionals as well as the whole person.

JUMP is open to students of all disciplinary areas and is created with the contribution of teachers
university students, professionals and managers who manage the teaching modules. The contents are developed on three axes:

  • Soft Skills, to enhance interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills through practical cases, group work, and guided discussions.
  • Interdisciplinary courses, a journey of open and in-depth reflection on ethics, anthropology, and major current issues, politics, and economics.
  • Thematic courses, particularly in the legal, economic, and medical fields, offer a professionally oriented approach using case studies, guided by industry professionals and in collaboration with companies.

In addition to the three-year program, the Master's degree program is available for students
JUMP +: career guidance activities that help students develop their own identity
professional, through collaboration with consultancy and personnel selection companies and
international companies. JUMP+ is an ideal bridge to the world of work and, through collaborations with international business schools such as IESE and AESE, introduces students to entrepreneurial and managerial dynamics, placing them in highly educational and international contexts.
