st and nd level Masters for specialist doctors and healthcare professionals

11 May 2021 - Enrollments for the two Masters in palliative care promoted by the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan expire on 31 May 2021.Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. This is the third edition of II level Master in "Advanced training and qualification in palliative care" for specialist doctors and the fifth edition of st level Master's Degree in "Palliative Care and Pain Therapy for Health Professions", i.e. aimed at nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and pediatric nurses.
On Tuesdays June 15, 2021 classes are expected to start. 

Palliative care consists in the active and global care of people whose disease has an irreversible course because it no longer responds to treatment. The two postgraduate courses mainly aim to teach quality of life assessment methods, raise awareness of the health needs of individuals and their families and teach communicative-relational skills aimed at effective communication with patients, families and caregivers. 

In particular, the II level Master was created to provide participants with skills in the pathophysiological and pharmacological fields, in the diagnostics and clinic of complications and symptoms, in the ethical and psychological aspects, and to enable them to acquire autonomous clinical skills at the end of the course specific sector. 
Healthcare professionals, on the other hand, will have to deepen the skills acquired in the three-year degree course to achieve high levels of care quality and in rehabilitation interventions for patients of all age groups affected by pain or chronic evolutionary diseases, always with respect for the person and putting the autonomy and dignity of the patient first.
