July 13, 2021 - It has been renewed since this morning President of Unindustria Angelo Camilli the Framework Agreement with the Rectors of the 7 main Universities of Lazio, including our University.
Present at the ceremony Raffaele Calabrò Rector ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, Antonella Polimeni Rector of the Sapienza University of Rome, Luca Pietromarchi Rector of the University of Roma Tre, Orazio Schillaci Rector of Rome Tor Vergata, Andrea Prince Rector of the University Luiss Guido Carli,, Giovanni Betta Rector of the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio e Stefano Ubertini Rector of the University of Tuscia.
Research, development of innovation and technology transfer, internationalization, advanced training, promotion of new entrepreneurship with particular regard to SMEs and innovative start-ups. These are the salient points of the framework agreement signed by Unindustria with the main Lazio universities four years ago and strongly desired by the President of Unindustria at the time Filippo Tortoriello to strengthen the constant dialogue between companies and the academic world, in a concrete perspective of development for our companies and for the competitiveness of all of Lazio.
"We have built a very positive relationship with universities over the years - comments the President of Unindustria Angelo Camilli - which led us to renew the Agreement for the second four-year period, with some important innovations. As soon as I was elected President, I immediately wanted to guarantee continuity to the good that had been done in the relations between universities and our companies. This is why I wanted to assign a specific delegation on these issues to a Vice President, Alessandro Francolini who follows it with great determination and passion. We have also identified 4 specific areas of activity on which we will have 4 joint working tables on a permanent basis: mutual knowledge between the world of the University and the industrial territory of Lazio and vice versa; the updating of skills with respect to the demand for new professional figures; the structured dialogue on the subject of doctorates to jointly identify the innovation needs of companies and to build research paths in line with the needs and activities together with the universities to stimulate the transfer of technologies and knowledge. The businesses and universities of Lazio are aware that this is the main road to follow in order to make our region a national point of reference for long-lasting and sustainable growth and development which allows it to remain one of the driving forces of our country. Only by systematizing the skills of the university poles of excellence, concentrated in our region, with the know-how of the best productive realities in the area, could we bring benefits to the entire Lazio economic system. And this is precisely the inspiring principle of the renewal of today's agreement".
