Caserta, 21 February 2023 – Virtual reality arrives in Campania for a Hi-Tech university orientation tour promoted byUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. The appointment is scheduled Monday 27 February al Parravano Theatre in via Giuseppe Mazzini, 71 a Caserta starting at 10am. Over 30 students from the last three years of high schools in the municipalities of Caserta, Aversa, Maddaloni, marcianise e Santa Maria a Vico they will live an immersive and original orientation experience through which they will discover theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma having the opportunity to orient yourself in choosing the degree course to undertake. The event enjoys the patronage of City of Caserta, and all participating kids will receive in I'm donating a virtual reality VR headset to immerse yourself in the project with 360 degree images: innovative technologies that will allow you to get to know the university's environments and enter into the life of the universityUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. Through the VR Cardboard viewer, high school students "A. Manzoni","P. Giannone","A. Diaz” and of theSalesian Institute "Sacred Heart of Mary" of Caserta, and those of National boarding school "Giordano Bruno" of Maddaloni, and of the ISISS "Majorana – Bachelet” of Santa Maria a Vico, “GB Novelli” of Marcianise and “E. Mattei” of Aversa will immerse themselves in special 4K videos made with 360-degree cameras inside the university, discovering medicine, nursing, engineering, food and nutrition, sustainability, artificial intelligence, big data and much more. The experience will be enriched by the possibility of following a lesson directly from inside the university classroom, participating in a meeting with the professors, and doing experiments in the laboratory, all without moving from their armchair. The event on the morning of February 27, moderated by Roberto Di Nucci, responsible for the promotion and orientation office, will be divided between the lesson, in the field of Medicine, of teacher Bruno Vincenzi, the testimonies of students Lisa Santoni (Science and Technologies for Man and the Environment) and of Viviana Mannella from Caserta (Medicine and Surgery), and in the presence, among others, of teacher Laura De Gara, deputy vice-rector and delegate for teachingUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, from the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Caserta, Emiliano Casale, and of the Councilor for Culture and Education, Vincenzo Barter. The Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, founded in 1993 and which this year celebrates its thirtieth anniversary, is located in the southern area of Rome within the Decima Malafede regional nature reserve and uses recently built structures integrated with the Campus Bio-Medico University Polyclinic Foundation. It offers 14 degree courses ranging from medicine to health professions, engineering, food and nutrition sciences, as well as a wide range of Masters and Post-Graduate courses. According to data from the Almalaurea 2022 report, carried out in 2021 on 2020 graduates, among Ucbm second level graduates the employment rate one year after obtaining the qualification is equal to80,7 percent, of 5 points higher than the national average which is 75,7 percent. The employment rate of Ucbm graduates five years after graduation instead it is of 94,3% also in this case well above the national average which is89,9 percent. According to the latest findings of theNational Agency for the Evaluation of Scientific Research (ANVUR) which analyzed over 182 thousand scientific publications with the contribution of more than 65 thousand Italian researchers, theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma is positioned ateleventh place overall among Italian universities, alongside the most important and oldest in the country, with positions of excellence in sectors such as the Integrated Surgical Clinic (first place overall), the Biological Sciences Area with the products of the Departmental Faculty of Sciences and Technologies for Man and the Environment (second place) and the Physiology area (fourth place).
