XXII Rome Marathon: free check-ups for the winners from the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital

At the Marathon Village stand, awareness-raising activities on correct lifestyles and healthy eating, educational programs for students and training sessions for visitors are scheduled from 7 to 9 April. Medical material will be made available to the organization and a bloodmobile will be in front of the Marathon Village to encourage blood donation

Rome, 23 March 2016 - The Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital participates in the XXII edition of the Rome Marathon: also in 2016 the structure will be present with specialists, events, gadgets and prizes alongside the organizers of the most important running competition in the capital, scheduled for Sunday 10 April. Since Thursday 7 April, the opening day of the event, will be available to visitors and participants the stand of the Marathon Village set up at the Palazzo dei Congressi of the EUR. At the center of the initiatives 'taken to the track' by the University Hospital this year will be raising awareness of prevention and correct lifestyles.

Not by chance, for the winners of both sexes of the two races, the Rome Fun Run and the competitive tender, the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital will put Free full check-ups available, which can be enjoyed within the Trigoria facility.

Prevention and nutrition education will be at the center of expert reports and training activities scheduled at the stands by 7 9 to April. We will leave Thursday 7 and Friday 8 April with an appointment in which the protagonists will be Roman school children who participate in the project The Marathon goes to school: for them, the teachers of theUCBM they will hold a civic path of education to healthy eating and oral hygiene at the Auditorium of the Palazzo dei Congressi of the EUR. Furthermore, the personnel of the Campus Bio-Medico present in the spaces within the two villages will distribute gadgets and other information materials.

The UCBM will also be active within the Rome Fun Village, near the Circus Maximus, Sunday 10th April, race day. For the competition, the University Hospital will make various types of medical material available to the health sector of the Marathon. Participation will also be an opportunity for promote the importance of blood donation: a bloodmobile dedicated will be available to anyone wishing to donate outside the square of the Marathon Village in the three days preceding the race.
