Claudia Lucia Piccolo
Biography
The doctor Claudia Lucia Piccolo was born in Naples on 10.03.11984. She is the first of two sisters, both very attached to their mother's native lands, in Lombardy, where they spent all their summers until they came of age. A lover of sports from an early age, she devoted herself, always together with her sister, to artistic gymnastics first and then to volleyball, her great passion, which taught her to interact in a group and to make lasting friendships over time. She alternately combines this with swimming, basketball and tennis. She attended the "Domenico Cirillo" classical high school which became a second home for her, where she learned to look at the world with a critical eye. During her free time she also dedicated herself to volunteer activities at the Caritas office in her city. After graduating in Medicine and Surgery at the Campus Bio-Medico University, she won a scholarship for the specialization school in Radiodiagnostics at the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital, where she spent 5 extremely formative years from a human and professional point of view; she also has the opportunity to spend periods of time at other facilities, including the Radiology department of the Gustave Roussy Oncology Center in Paris, where she focuses on imaging of the breast and female pelvis. At the end of the Specialization School, she wins a scholarship for a doctorate in Translational and Clinical Medicine at the University of Molise. During her Specialization, she meets her future husband, also a colleague, with whom she will have a beautiful baby girl, Giulia, who teaches her, every day, that no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
