Biography
Degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Rome La Sapienza; PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Rome Tor Vergata; National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor in SSD 05/E1 BIO10.
Curriculum
He has been a researcher since February 2022 at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, Departmental Faculty of Medicine, Rome where he teaches biochemistry for the Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery and for the Degree Courses in Physiotherapy and Radiology Techniques for Imaging and Radiotherapy. From 2010 to today he has carried out research in the field of biochemistry of lipid mediators in inflammation and degenerative processes.
Since 1997 she has carried out teaching and research activities at the Department of Experimental Medicine and Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Rome Tor Vergata. She participated as Co-PI in two projects funded by the Italian Space Agency. She was a member of the Scientific Team in the missions at the Baikonur base in Kazakhstan and in the “VITA” Mission at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, for the launch of scientific experiments on the International Space Station (ISS). She was a member of the Italian Society of Biochemistry (SIB) and of the International Society for Endocannabinoid Research (ICRS). She has participated in numerous conferences, has been a speaker at conferences on Space Biomedicine and Chair at the Endocannabinoids Conference in the session on Receptors and Signal Transduction. She has received two scientific awards: ICRS - Scientific Achievement Award for an outstanding scientific presentation at the 2004 Symposium on the Cannabinoids, Paestum, Italy; Certificate of Achievement for participation in scientific research of the SERiSM payload aboard the successful Space
Member of the Editorial Board of Frontiers and Guest Editor for Biomolecules. She is co-author of some texts including “Gli Endocannabinoidi: Nuovi Mediatori Lipidici di Importanza Biomedica” edited by Piccin; Metodologie biochimiche e moleculari edited by Zanichelli. She has published about 100 research articles in national and international journals with a total H-index of 47 and 5880 citations.
