Clinical and radiographic study to evaluate the outcomes of Cotton's osteotomy in the treatment of flat foot in adults

Project objectives

Surgical procedures on the medial column are generally necessary and essential to restore the medial arch and therefore correct balance in the treatment of flatfoot. These procedures include fusion of the first tarsometatarsal (TMT) joint, fusion of the naviculocuneiform (NC) joint, and Cotton osteotomy or opening wedge osteotomy of the medial cuneiform.
The aim of the study was to identify the radiographic and clinical effects of the Cotton osteotomy on the medial column joints.
