REPOSI Collective Study

Reposi - Registry of patients for the study of polypathologies and polypharmacy in SIMI network departments

Project objectives

The Reposi project aims to initiate a collaborative study involving a network of internal medicine departments in hospitals in the European Union that are part of the SIMI network for the creation of a registry of elder patients (age > 65 years) with the following objectives: 

  • Document the prevalence of polypathologies and polypharmacy at admission and discharge from the ward.
  • Correlate clinical-epidemiological characteristics in different classes of patients in relation to the type and number of diseases and the type and number of drugs present on admission to the ward and at discharge.
  • Evaluate the main clinical outcomes at discharge (length of stay, hospital mortality) of different types of patients with regard to the type and number of diseases and the type and number of drugs used on admission to the ward.
