Nursing care dependency

Project objectives

The main objective of the study was to explore the affective-symbolic elements of dependency on care and the perception of the factors that are believed to contribute to increasing or limiting this dependence, in the experience of Italian cancer patients and cancer nurses.
Secondary objectives were: to measure dependence in Activities of Daily Life, care dependence and fatigue in the same sample of patients, and to validate the Italian version of the Care Dependency Scale.
