EPIGEN Correlation between severity level of autistic disorder and parental epigenetic biomarkers
Project objectives
The study aims to evaluate parental epigenetics in correlation with autistic disorder. Specifically, it aims to:
1) Draw a correlation between severity of autism spectrum disorder in the child, parental comorbidity (autoimmune or neuropsychiatric pathologies) and epigenetic biomarkers detected in the parent's saliva
2) Identify parental epigenetic biomarkers related to the development of ASD in offspring.
