GLYcemic Variability assessed by continuous glucose monitoring and Antiplatelet Responsiveness in patients undergoing coronary stenting (GLYVAR study)
Project Objectives
The aim of our study is to evaluate the correlation between periprocedural glycemic variability (measured by a subcutaneous continuous glucose monitoring system, iPro™) and platelet reactivity (assessed by VerifyNow System and measured in terms of Platelet Reactivity Units) in diabetic patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.
Type of study: pilot, observational, prospective study.
Primary Endpoints:
- Correlation between periprocedural glycemic variability and platelet reactivity (PRU) in the study population
- Correlation between periprocedural glycemic variability and incidence of Net Adverse Clinical Events (NACE) (death, myocardial infarction, need for revascularization – PCI or CABG, stroke, major and minor bleeding)
