Lenalidomide and dexamethasone (RD) versus lenalidom#3BB6394

Multicenter, randomized, controlled, tri-group, parallel phase III study to determine the efficacy and safety of lenalidomide in combination with dexamethasone (RD) versus lenalidom # 3BB6394.

Project Objectives

Primary objectives:

  • To evaluate the efficacy of RD combination compared with MPR and CPR in elderly patients with newly diagnosed symptomatic multiple myeloma.
  • To evaluate the efficacy of lenalidomide treatment as a maintenance therapy (in combination with prednisone) after the induction phase.

Secondary objectives:

  • To evaluate the safety of RD combination compared with MPR and CPR in patients with newly diagnosed symptomatic multiple myeloma
  • To evaluate the safety of lenalidomide as a maintenance therapy after the induction phase
