MAMMUT - ROLE OF THE MUTYH GENE IN BREAST CANCER

Project objectives

The main objective is to verify the presence of biallelic variants of the MUTYH gene in the tumor tissue of heterozygous patients at the germline level; it is also planned to verify the absence of the protein encoded by the MUTYH gene on the tumor tissue.
Another objective is to define the role of the MUTYH gene in hereditary susceptibility to breast cancer.
