Modulation of Angiogenesis in the Regeneration of Osteochondal Tissue
Project objectives
The project aims to carry out an in-depth study on the role of angiogenesis in combination with stem cell therapy for osteochondral regeneration. To this end, they will be produced during the project scaffolds which will be used as a "test bed" for this innovative approach on an animal model. The final goal of the project is therefore the development of scaffolds innovative able to control angiogenesis, modulating it differently according to the requirements of the various sections that make up the osteochondral segment. The collaboration with the foreign institution will be fundamental for a deep understanding of the cellular and molecular mechanisms of osteochondral regeneration.
