RAnolaZine Efficacy in diabetic patients undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: beyond its anti-ischemic efficacy (RAZE Trial)

Project Objectives

The aim of our study is to evaluate the possible positive effects of this new drug on endothelial function, platelet aggregation, coagulation activation and glycemic control in patients undergoing coronary revascularization in order to identify potential benefit of ranolazine other than its antianginal actions.

Type of study: prospective, randomized trial

Efficacy end point

Evaluation of endothelial function and platelet reactivity in two groups of treatment.

Secondary end points

Efficacy of ranolazine on metabolic control evaluated by iPRO and HbA1c levels.
