COURT: "Acute cardiotoxicity in patients undergoing radio-chemotherapy treatment for non-small cell lung cancer: prospective cohort study"
Project objectives
The general objective of the study is to carry out an early diagnosis and estimate
the global and individual incidence of all major cardiac events (unstable angina,
acute coronary syndrome, NSEMI and STEMI infarction, ventricular dysfunction, arrhythmias)
symptomatic or asymptomatic during radiochemotherapy for locally advanced lung tumors.
In particular, with the research we present here, we also want to establish a correlation
between the dose absorbed by the heart and coronary arteries during treatment and the location of any cardiac damage (ischemia, dysfunction) developed.
