The endocannabinoid system in Alzheimer’s disease

Project objectives

The following project aims to investigate the role of the endocannabinoid-degrading enzyme (FAAH) in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease and to nominate it as a molecular target to: (i) improve the understanding of the pathogenetic mechanisms, (ii) identify the early symptoms of the disease and (iii) develop new drugs.
