Use of music to reduce anxiety during office hysteroscopy: prospective randomized trial

Project objectives

Office hysteroscopy is a widely use procedure. Patients may experience pain and anxiety during hysteroscopy that could make the procedure difficult or impossible. The aim of the study was to investigate the effects of music on anxiety and perception of pain during office hysteroscopy. Thanks to data obtained from 356 patients, we demonstrated that, thanks to music, patient is more relaxed and experiences less discomfort.
