Lo European Innovation Council (EIC) aims to identify and support technologies based on an innovation breakthrough e disruptive which have scalability potential at a European and international level to thus become market leaders.
The EIC therefore aims at integrated and agile support by supporting all phases of innovation: from Research and Development (R&D) on the scientific foundations of technologies, to their validation and demonstration. The main objective of the EIC is to respond to real needs, supporting the entire innovation cycle up to the development phase scale-up and entry into the European and international market.
Type of shares
- EIC Pathfinder for innovative advanced research and to support the development of breakthrough technologies;
- EIC Transition to validate technologies and develop business plans for specific applications. Partnerships of 2-5 legal entities are eligible, as long as the proposals build on previous results obtained in Pathfinder, FET or ERC Proof of Concept projects.
- EIC Accelerator to support individual companies (SMEs, start-ups, spin-outs and in exceptional cases small mid-caps) in order to bring their innovations to the market and support a rapid scale-up phase.
