Research areas and methodologies

The research areas of interest of the Research Unit are:

  • Analysis of incidence and prevalence of healthcare-related infections and antibiotic resistance profiles in local facilities 
  • Study of the attitudes, professional skills required of public health workers and cultural obstacles on the topic of vaccinations, both for childhood and elderly profiles
  • Research in the field of Public Health skills, with particular reference to aspects of Primary Prevention.
  • Date scout templatesing and data analysis of current hospital databases (management and clinical) with the aim of identifying useful indicators for management and clinicians
  • Collaboration on methodological and operational aspects with other Research Units of the Departmental Faculty of Medicine and Surgery for the activities of defining research protocols, collecting and organizing data, analyzing and representing the results
