The financing is aimed at the implementation of projects for the strengthening and capacity building of the technology transfer offices of Italian universities, public research bodies and scientific hospitalization and care institutes in order to increase the intensity of technology transfer flows towards the business system.
With this financing UCBM, in line with its strategic vocation aimed at the centrality of the person, health innovation and improvement of the quality of life, intends to pursue and strengthen third mission activities and in particular technological transfer to make it available to the socio-economic system the knowledge produced as a development engine for the country.
To this end it is of primary importance for UCBM Consolidate and promote the implementation of projects that focus on collaboration between research and industry in the healthcare, agri-food, and cleantech sectors. This will facilitate technology transfer processes and optimize the management, organization, and competitiveness of all stakeholders in the healthcare system, the food supply chain, and sustainability. This will promote both the dissemination of research results and the creation of employment opportunities by involving young graduates in the projects themselves.
Within the project, KTO activities will be carried out following a defined and ongoing program that includes scouting research results, including to identify new opportunities for protection and valorization, interconnecting the university's technological offerings with the innovation needs of companies, reviewing, integrating, and implementing the knowledge transfer and valorization plan, monitoring indicators, and continuing education.
