The study of the logo ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma was created to express a synergy between the various areas that compose it and to create a common and clearly identifiable visual identity.
Here, the application criteria of the basic elements of communication are defined with the aim of coordinate and make the use of the institutional image more efficient. The choice of the elements and colors that make up the brand and the logo, as well as their assembly, arises from a general coordination policy between the various areas of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma.
The brand was born from a graphic synthesis of the framework of Raffaello Sanzio "The School of Athens", datable to 1509-1511, located in the Stanza della Segnatura, one of the four "Vatican Rooms", located inside the Apostolic Palaces. A portion of the design has been inserted into a spherical shape flattened at the poles.
The result effectively expresses one of the foundations of the University's Philosophy: train professionals who work at the service of man and promote a culture of life centered on the well-being of the person.
The logo depicts in the center two stylized figures of ancient Greek philosophy: Plato and Aristotle.
The two figures are depicted in profile, Plato on the left and Aristotle on the right, with their heads turned towards the center of the logo. The two characters are separated by an "invisible" vertical line which represents the split between their philosophical vision and divides the drawing into two halves.
The choice of the ovoid shape is due to the need to communicate values and concepts relating to the internal organization and the dimension of the service, such as harmony, cooperation, perfect integration between the parts and the whole, but also softness, warmth, hospitality.
Brand and logo have been designed to live together.
The form allows one chiara readability of the writing "Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma", positioned on the external part of the oval. The relationship and positioning of the elements is established by a format that offers the right relevance to the writing and guarantees optimal visual integrity.
