How can I contact the Student Benefits Office during the summer?

The University will be closed from August 10 to August 18, 2026, inclusive. Outside this period, the Right to Education Office will be reachable via email at [email protected] and will respond as soon as possible at the end of the closure period.

What does the Right to Education Office do?

The Office deals with the provision of scholarships, to provide various forms of financial benefits in favor of deserving students in difficult economic conditions and to help identify the housing solution best suited to their needs. Furthermore, the Office welcomes and follows students with DSA and/or Disabilities throughout their entire university career, providing useful information on how to request the use of compensatory tools for DSA students or exemption from payment of the single university contribution for students. with a disability greater than 66% or in possession of a law 104.

What kind of scholarships does the University offer?Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma?

In addition to scholarships related to the admission process, scholarships funded by external organizations based on income and merit are also available. Of central importance are the scholarships made available by the Biomedical University Foundation, on the occasion of the third edition of the Joaquín Navarro Valls International Award for Leadership and Benevolence, thanks to the establishment of the eponymous Scholarship Fund for theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, named after the same doctor and President of the Advisory Board UCBM, Joaquìn Navarro Valls, with the aim of contributing to the valorization of new deserving and less well-off talents.

How does the DiscoLazio 2026/2027 Right to Education Call work?

For freshman students:
To participate in the competition, students must submit their application by the deadline set out in the call, even if they are not yet enrolled in a degree program. However, to access the benefits, students must complete their university enrollment. within February 10, 2027. The final ranking will be published on the DiscoLazio website on October 12, 2026.

Payment of the scholarship to the winners takes place according to the scheme indicated below:

 a) freshmen of first-level degree courses and single-cycle master's degree courses:

  • the first installment of the scholarship, equal to 20% of the total, is paid by 10 November 2026;
  • a further advance payment of the first instalment, equal to 30% of the total, is paid by the 27 December 2026;
  • the balance of the scholarship, equal to 50% of the total, is paid starting from, and possibly within, the month of October 2027 to the students who by August 10 2027 have achieved the merit requirement requested in Article 41.4 and subject to verification of the regular verbalization by the university secretariats.

b) freshmen of second level degree courses:

  • the first installment of the scholarship, equal to 50% of the total, is paid by the 27 December 2026
  • the balance of the scholarship, equal to 50% of the total, is paid starting from, and possibly within, the month of October 2027 to the students who by August 10 2027 have achieved the merit requirement requested in art. 41.4 of the Call and after verification of the regular verbalization by the university secretariats

For students enrolled in subsequent years:
To participate in the competition, students must submit their application by the deadline set out in the announcement. To access the benefits, students must also complete their university enrollment by 10 February 2027.

If you are not awarded any scholarship, what other tools can you use to pay university fees?

The student can apply for a merit loan from Banca Intesa San Paolo, which provides for the disbursement of annual tranches that allow students and their families to meet the payment of the university installments of the academic year at a very subsidized interest rate .

The granting of funding is subject to approval by the University and requires access and maintenance requirements, which can be consulted at the following link: link.

The student is only required to obtain at least 40 credits in the 12 months prior to the expiry of the tranche.

I am a student with a certified learning disability (DSA). How can I request the use of the compensatory tools provided for by Law No. 170/2010?

The student interested in requesting specific tools must submit it to the Diritto allo Studio office, at the email address [email protected] or in person the following documentation:

1. the application of compensatory and/or dispensatory tools for SLD/disability through the this form

2. DSA certification, which must have the following characteristics:

to. the diagnosis must be made by the National Health Service, by specialists or accredited structures;

b. diagnoses dating back to developmental age (before the age of 18) can be considered valid, provided they do not exceed three years from the date of issue, considering that DSAs are conditions that tend to persist for the entire life span;

c. must include the nosographic codes and the explicit wording of the DSA in question;

Once the validity of the certification has been verified by the Delegate of the Rector for Inclusion, the Right to Study office will inform all professors of the reference degree course and the Presidents of the various Degree Courses.

I am a student with a disability recognized pursuant to art. 3, paragraph 1 of law n.104 of 05/02/92 or with a disability equal to or greater than 66%, how can I obtain exemption for the payment of university fees?

To obtain the exemption it is necessary to be regularly enrolled in a degree course. Once you have completed your registration, you are asked to send it to the email address [email protected] medical documentation issued by a public facility or a private facility accredited to the National Health System.

Subsequently, the Right to Study Office will send the form for the request for exemption from the single university contribution which must be duly completed and returned by the student to the office.

The Right to Study Office will then prepare a file with the documents indicated above, which will be signed by the CEO/GM.

Finally, the Right to Study Office will take care of returning the installment already paid to the student, once the tax exemption has been applied by the University.
