L’Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma è una delle università selezionate da Virtual Routes per ricevere il finanziamento del programma Google.org Cybersecurity Seminars, riservato alle migliori università europee, con un progetto dedicato alla formazione di giovani talenti nella cybersecurity.
Il progetto, guidato dal Prof. Roberto Setola, Direttore del Master in Cybersecurity Management, e coordinato dall'UCBM Academy, mira a sviluppare competenze avanzate nel campo della cybersecurity. È rivolto a 75 giovani studenti, che avranno accesso a un programma di formazione completo caratterizzato da un approccio di apprendimento pratico e da borse di studio che coprono interamente i costi del programma. Oltre alla formazione tecnica, l'iniziativa prevede mentorship e opportunità di stage presso partner aziendali, favorendo un ambiente di apprendimento inclusivo e stimolante.
Un programma d'eccellenza per innovazione e sicurezza
Progettato per risponderealle crescenti esigenze di cybersecurity, il programma di formazione includerà aggiornamenti sulle tecnologie emergenti e attività di coinvolgimento comunitario. Sotto la guida del Prof. Luca Faramondi e sfruttando l’esperienza maturata nel corso di Laurea Magistrale in Sistemi Intelligenti, il progetto garantisce una formazione pratica e orientata allo sviluppo professionale.
Le attività pratiche si svolgeranno presso il Cyber Shot Lab, un laboratorio congiunto tra UCBM e Cyber 4.0 (il Centro di Competenza del Ministero per l’Innovazione e il Made in Italy), che consente agli studenti di lavorare su infrastrutture di test che riproducono scenari reali.
Inoltre, il progetto punta a rafforzare le sinergie tra le imprese partecipanti e l'università attraverso la realizzazione di uno studio sugli attacchi informatici che colpiscono le aziende. Questo studio culminerà nella pubblicazione di un report annuale che analizzerà le tendenze delle minacce informatiche.
The Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma is one of the universities selected by Virtual Routes to receive funding from the Google.org Cybersecurity Seminars program fund, reserved for the top European universities, with a project dedicated to training young individuals in cybersecurity.
The project, led by Prof. Roberto Setola, Director of the Master in Cybersecurity Management, and coordinated by the UCBM Academy, aims to develop advanced skills in the field of cybersecurity. It targets 75 young students who will benefit from a comprehensive training program featuring an on-the-job learning approach and scholarships covering the full cost of the program. In addition to technical training, the initiative includes mentorship and internship opportunities with corporate partners, fostering an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
An Excellence Program for Innovation and Security
Designed to address the growing demands for cybersecurity, the training program will include updates on emerging technologies and community engagement activities. Under the leadership of Prof. Luca Faramondi and leveraging the expertise of the Master's Degree program in Intelligent Systems, the project ensures participants gain practical, career-oriented training.
Hands-on activities will take place in the Cyber Shot Lab, a joint laboratory between UCBM and Cyber 4.0 (the Competence Center under the Ministry for Innovation and Made in Italy), allowing students to work on testing infrastructures replicating real-world scenarios.
Additionally, the project seeks to strengthen synergies between the participating companies and the university through the development of a study on cyberattacks impacting businesses. This will culminate in the publication of an annual report analyzing trends in cybersecurity threats.
