Chimico, dal 1988 al 2020 ha lavorato nel reparto R&D della Procter & Gamble, ricoprendo numerosi incarichi dirigenziali in diverse sedi. L'ultimo è stato quello di Senior Technical Director presso il centro ricerche P&G di Bruxelles, dal 2015 al 2020. Ha guidato gruppi di ricerca e innovazione tecnologica a livello internazionale; è stato Project Leader in vari progetti finanziati dalla Comunità europea; ha condotto collaborazioni con grandi partners industriali multinazionali; è stato membro dello European Technology Council della Procter & Gamble dal 2004. E' autore di oltre 200 brevetti internazionali ed è stato invited lecturer in numerosi corsi e summer schools in Italia e all'estero.

Attualmente è docente a contratto presso la Facoltà d'Ingegneria dell'Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, dove ricopre anche il ruolo di direttore del programma "Grand Challenges", e Visiting Research Fellow presso il National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics (Estonia).

- 32 years of R&D experience in the following areas: oxidation science and technology; colloid, surface and interface chemistry; surface modification technologies; surfactants; emulsion and suspension design/stabilization; detergent products; air purification technologies; hair colorants; tooth whitening; characterization and molecular design of water soluble polymers; silicones; fluorinated polymers.

- Submission and management of EU funded projects: “Nanok” (ID: 29744), concerning new nanotechnology applications (2006-2010); “Blue4Glue” (ID: 217873), concerning bioadhesive technologies derived from marine organisms (2007-2011); “Biomimetic” (ID: 282945), concerning bioinspired polymers from renewable resources (2011-2015); “Renaissance” (ID: 289347), concerning innovative polyelectrolytes based on ecosustainable chemical approaches and their applications (2012-2016); “MICSED” (ID: 606869), concerning complex formulations (2014-2018); “Bioclean” (ID: 722871), concerning long lasting clean surfaces via surface modification and photocatalytic approaches (2016-2019).

- 1986: Laurea (5-year degree - MSc) in Chemistry – Rome University “La Sapienza”, summa cum laude.
