1979 – Advanced School of Specialization in Telecommunication Engineering from “Istituto Superiore del Ministero PPTT” (Advanced Institute of Italian Telecommunication Ministry).

1979 -1980 Fellow researcher at CNR (National Council of Researches) developing an Infrared Sensor for Satellitar application, National Laboratories in Frascati (Italy). Fellowship from CNEN (ENEA) on Power LASERs for Ignition of Nuclear Fusion “Tokamak”, Frascati (Italy).

Since November 1980 – Joined as researcher the IBM Software Systems International Laboratory in Rome (Italy).

July 1981 – Degree in Mathematics from University “La Sapienza” of Rome (Italy).

1989 – Senior Software System Engineer at IBM Software Systems International Laboratory.

1992 – Team Leader in OSI Program Products development at IBM

Job assignement in USA at the IBM Research Center in RTP Raleigh (NC), implementation of the Communication Protocol CMIP (CCITT X.711/X.722), TMN (CCITT M.3010/M.3100).

He worked on research activities, definition and experimentation of new methodologies in the field of Software Development for Object-Oriented networking systems and ISO/OSI products. He worked on Process Optimization Systems and Knowledge Management Systems. He presented original works at several International Conferences (Santa Clara (CA)-USA; Toronto (Canada); Orlando (FL)-USA).

November 1980 to December 1990 – Begins of research activity at the IBM System Software International Laboratory. Development of Methodologies for Software Engineering. Operational Research (system MPSX). Artificial Intelligence (decisional systems for business planning in LISP and PROLOG). Advanced Operating System Optimization (MVS). Performance metering on large compouters (TPNS-MVS). Development of systems for CASE (Formal Specification and Code Generation).
