International Day for the Rights of the Child celebrates the date on which the International Convention on the Rights of the Child was approved by the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on November 20, 1989. Every year on November 20 , this date is remembered in almost all the countries of the world.

The objective of the second Youth Convention is to provide a space for reflection suitable for supporting the adolescent "to learn about the cognitive, emotional, social, relational and physical aspects of sexuality" in order to develop intellectual paths aimed at stimulating his will in pursuing behaviors aimed at achieving "a state of physical, emotional, mental and social well-being" important for sexual health.

  • biological aspect: reproduction, contraception, natural methods, sexually transmitted diseases
  • socio-psycho-affective aspect: emotions, sensations, love, sex, freedom, conditioning, falling birth rate
  • bioethical-anthropological and pedagogical aspect: sexual identity, nature, culture, anthropology and pedagogy of sexuality

modality

Participatory and interactive. The expert reports will be preceded and accompanied by video projections and debates, stimulating public participation.

The convention this year is organized over two days:

  • on Friday afternoon the junior session, for children in the last year of primary school and the first two years of secondary school
  • Saturday for children of the last 3 years of secondary school, university, trainers and educators
