With a career entirely built within theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, coordinates the specialist teaching, clinical research and surgical activity of the Policlinico, with over 300 scientific papers and international awards.

Emiliano Schena Pro-Rector for Teaching Full Professor of Mechanical and Thermal Measurements. He was the Rector's Delegate for the Third Mission, Scientific Director of the UCBM Academy, President of the Biomedical Engineering Degree Program, Coordinator of the Research Promotion Committee. Founder of the startup Heremos srl. Since 2024, officer of the Italian Section of the IEEE.

Simonetta Filippi Vice-Rector for Internationalization Full Professor of Theoretical Physics. Since 2008 he has been Head of the Nonlinear Physics and Mathematical Models Research Unit. From 2015 to 2020 she was Pro-Rector for University Education. Since 2021 she has been a CNR Research Associate. Scientific director of the CNR@ third-party research unitUCBM.

Sara Ramella Vice-Rector Third Mission Full Professor of Oncological Radiotherapy. Since 2014 he has directed the School of Specialization in Oncological Radiotherapy. He is Director of the Oncological Radiotherapy Complex Operative Unit of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation and President of the Degree Course in Medical Radiology Techniques for Imaging and Radiotherapy.

Leandro Pecchia Vice-Rector for Research Full Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Director of the Research Unit of Intelligent Technologies for Health and Wellbeing and of the Observatory UCBM-Intesa San Paolo Science and Technology for Global Health. A member of the Scientific Committee of the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario, he is the Secretary General of the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering.

Alessio Gizzi Dean of the Departmental Faculty of Ingengineering Full Professor of Structural Mechanics. Head of the Theoretical and Computational Biomechanics Research Unit. Since 2022, he has been a member of the teaching staff of the PhD program in Systems Science at the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca. He is the author of the textbook Construction Science for Biomedical Engineering, CittaStudi. In 2024 he was awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant.

Chiara Fanali Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology for Sustainable Development and One Health Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry. Since 2022, she has been the Coordinator of the PhD Program in Sustainable Development: Environment, Food, and Health. From 2019 to 2025, she was the Chair of the Degree Program in Food Sciences and Human Nutrition. Since November 1, 2025, she has been the Dean of the Departmental Faculty of Sciences and Technologies for Sustainable Development and One Health.

Antonio Picardi Vice Dean

Umberto Vespasiani Gentilucci Research Coordinator and Third Mission Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, he obtained with honors a degree, specialization, doctorate (La Sapienza) and two second level masters (La Cattolica and UCBM). With a career entirely in UCBM and Fondazione Policlinico CBM, integrates clinical, teaching, and research activities in metabolic and autoimmune liver diseases. He is Deputy Coordinator of the PhD Program in Integrated Biomedical Sciences and Bioethics and of the Specialization Schools in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine, a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Italian Association for the Study of the Liver and the Steering Committee of the Italian Primary Biliary Cholangitis Registry.

Francesco Stilo President of the Single Cycle Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery Full Professor of Vascular Surgery since 2024. Director of the Department of Vascular Surgery since 2024. Secretary of the Board of Full Professors of the Scientific Disciplinary Sector since November 2025. President of the Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery taught in Italian since November 2025. Speaker and Moderator at National and International Conferences. Member of the main Scientific Societies of Vascular Surgery. Author of over 100 papers in high-impact international journals. Co-author of several international clinical studies on key topics in Vascular Surgery.

Claudio Pedone President of the single-cycle master's degree course in Medicine and Surgery Full Professor of Geriatrics. Since 2017 he has been Director of the School of Specialization in Geriatrics. Since 2020 he has been Director of the Complex Operative Unit of Geriatrics of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation. Giovanni Di Pino President of the Single Cycle Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery 'MedTech' Full Professor of Physiology. Neurologist, PhD in Biomedical Engineering. He is Head of the Human-Technology Interaction Neurophysiology and Neuroengineering Research Unit (NeXT Lab). Winner of an ERC-Starting Grant. Maria Matarese President of the Degree Course in Nursing Associate Professor of General, Clinical, Pediatric, and Obstetric-Gynecological and Neonatal Nursing Sciences. She conducts research in geriatric and chronic care, with a particular focus on self-care and the contribution of family members to the self-care of people with chronic degenerative diseases. She is a member of the teaching staff of the Doctorate in Nursing and Public Health at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome.

Michele Fiore President of the Degree Course in Medical Radiology Techniques for Imaging and Radiotherapy

Federica Bressi President of the Degree Course in Physiotherapy Full Professor of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, specializes in neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, with expertise in stroke, Parkinson's disease, balance disorders, and complex orthopedic rehabilitation. He was a Visiting Professor at VCU in 2019 and a member of the SIMFER Presidential Council. He is active in research and treatment.

He conducts research on mathematical models for economics and engineering and is the author of university textbooks on basic mathematics.

Domenico Formica Research Coordinator and Third Mission Full Professor of Bioengineering and co-leader of the Neurophysiology and Neuroengineering of Human-Technology Interaction Research Unit (NeXTlab). From 2022 to 2025, he was Professor of Bioengineering at Newcastle University (UK), where he founded and directed the Neurorobotics Lab. His research lies at the intersection of neurorobotics and neuroscience, and he has coordinated several national and European projects on these topics.

Letizia Chiodo President of the Degree Course in Industrial Engineering Associate Professor of Theoretical Physics of Matter, Models, Mathematical Methods, and Applications. He studies the physical properties of low-dimensional materials and biological systems using theoretical and computational methods. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Steering Committee of the European Theoretical Spectroscopy Facility (ETSF).

Luca Vollero President of the Degree Course in Biomedical Engineering Associate Professor of Information Processing Systems. His research focuses on distributed and embedded systems, computer communication systems and protocols, digital/graph signal processing, optimization of artificial intelligence algorithms, and their applications in industrial and biomedical fields.

Roberto Setola President of the Master's Degree Course in Intelligent Systems Engineering Full Professor of Automatic Control, since 2008 he has been Scientific Director of the Master in Homeland Security and since 2024 he has been Scientific Director of the Master in Cyber ​​Security Management. Since 2019 he has held an expert position at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers on the subject of Resilience of Critical Infrastructures. Since 2024 he has been Scientific Advisor to the Navy.

Laura Dugo Research Coordinator and Third Mission Associate Professor of Food Chemistry. She conducts chemical-biological research on the nutraceutical valorization of phycocomplexes and bioactive molecules. From 2022 to 2025, she was a member of the Joint Faculty-Student Committee and academic coordinator for internationalization for the Department of Sciences and Technologies for Sustainable Development and One Health. Since November 2025, she has been the Faculty's Research and Third Mission Coordinator.

Vittoria Locato President of the Degree Course in Food Sciences and Human Nutrition Full Professor of Plant Physiology and Chair of the Degree Course in Food Sciences and Human Nutrition. Graduated with honors in Biological Sciences (2003), she obtained a master's degree in "Manager of Procurement and Distribution Processes of Agri-Food Products" (2004) and a PhD in Cellular Physiology and Biotechnology (2008).

Laura De Gara President of the Master's Degree Course in Food and Human Nutrition Sciences Full Professor of Plant Physiology and Delegate for the University's One Health Project. She contributed to the creation of the University's Third Departmental Faculty (Sciences and Technologies for Sustainable Development and One Health), becoming its first Dean. She served as Deputy Rector with responsibility for Teaching (2022-2025). She is the Secretary General of the Federation of European Societies of Plant Biology.

Marco Santonico President of the Master's Degree in Food Science and Technology and Supply Chain Management Full Professor of Electronics. Since 2019 he has been Vice Dean of the Departmental Faculty of Science and Technology for Sustainable Development and One Health and President of the Master's Degree Course in Food Science and Technology and Supply Chain Management. He is co-responsible of the Research Unit of Electronics for Sensory Systems where he deals with the development of sensors and their electronic interfaces for medical, food and environmental applications.
