Claudia Zanetti - International Relations Office
I had the opportunity to participate in the second edition of the Staff Week “Globally Connected” organized by the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany.
The main topics discussed during this International Week were social inclusion and equal opportunities within the Erasmus world, very interesting topics for those like me who work in an International Relations Office.
In addition to organizing stimulating sessions where participants could discuss the topics of interest at a European level, our German colleagues made us feel at home with typical dinners and trips to discover the Black Forest.
I have always wanted to visit this geographical area and thanks to the Erasmus Staff Call I was able to combine a precious training opportunity with the discovery of an interesting territory.
I always recommend our students to take advantage of the beauty that the Erasmus + program has to offer and… I can't help but do the same with my colleagues. UCBM!"
Prof. Caricato and Prof. Carrannante - Faculty of Medicine and Surgery
Prof. Caricato and Dr. Carannante participated in the ROBO-CERT, training International Certified Robotic Surgery Fellowship, led by Prof. Jim Khan at Queen Alexandra Hospital, University of Portsmouth, NHS, UK.
We improved our theoretical and technical skills in robotic surgery, learning tips and tricks to master robotic surgery systems, starting from the "classics" Da Vinci Xi and X, but invaluable to get the best out of the brand new Hugo, available for our daily practice. On this occasion, we consolidated our relationships with the most important robotic colorectal surgery teams on the continent, from Switzerland to Romania, from France to Spain, from Turkey to Germany to Denmark. Great appreciation for the innovative experiences at the Campus on colon surgery in fragile patients, of which Dr. Carannante presented the first results.
Emanuela Mautarelli - Human Resources Development Office
"This was the 13th edition of the Erasmus Staff Week at the University of Cyprus, Nicosia.
It was my first time and it was an experience beyond my expectations.
We talked about "Diversity and Inclusion" and the organization and management of Blended Intensive Programmes, stimulating a fruitful debate in an intercultural group.
The classroom sessions were interspersed with organized excursions, to discover ancient villages and traditions, characteristic hamlets, breathtaking views, steeped in a rich but painful history.
I recommend all my colleagues to try this experience at least once; it is a great opportunity that UCBM offers us".
