Music together for the life of the University

The University Polyphonic Choir is one of the main cultural activities promoted by UCBM, within the Campus Life project. An experience in which the passion for different musical genres mixes with the desire to refine one's singing skills and favors the development of human relationships as well as the creation of that healthy spirit of sharing that characterizes the university environment.

The choir has about thirty elements divided into four voices, male and female. The new choral formation collaborates every year with the Theater laboratory of the University for the staging of musicals, under the guidance of the actress and director Francesca Fava. The choir has already successfully animated some internal and external initiatives with respect to the university context, including the musicals staged on the occasion of the Sport and Culture Week, the solemn Eucharistic Celebrations presided over by card. Angelo Sodano, former Vatican secretary of state, in May 2016 and by card. Angelo De Donatis, current Vicar of the Pope, in April 2018, the Encounter of Freshmen at the Brancaccio Theater in Rome in October 2016 and also had the honor of performing Mameli's anthem in front of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella in November 2019.

The choir aims to accompany the salient moments that mark university life from the graduation ceremonies to the inauguration of the academic year, the freshman welcome day, the Campus Got Talent, functions and Christmas concerts. It also organizes visits and concerts to patients of the University Hospital and of Cesa, the Center for the Health of the Elderly, especially around the Christmas holidays. Finally, some of its members animate the Sunday Eucharistic Celebration at 12.00 in the Policlinico Chapel.

The tests, free and open to students and employees, take place on Wednesdays at 06:00 pm in the Club House of the Prabb building and allow the acquisition of 2 extra-curricular credits.
