The mission of the Departmental Faculty of Medicine, Surgery and Dentistry is to train the next generation of doctors and surgeons with innovative and cutting-edge teaching.
One of the distinctive features of the Faculty is the strong emphasis oncompetency-based approach, which places clinical practice at the center of the study. Students acquire not only theoretical knowledge, but also the practical skills necessary to become successful physicians and surgeons. Students begin to do experience with patients since the first year of the course, through simulations and laboratories.
The Faculty is also at the forefront of new technologies. Digital tools are adopted, such as the use of apps for patient training and monitoring, as well as the introduction of virtual and augmented reality technologies for student training in the context of a simulation room.
They are offered personalized study programs which allow students to develop specific interests through specialized study paths, in-depth courses on genetics, technological innovation in medicine, sports medicine and many others.
