1. Premise

This cookie policy refers exclusively to the website of UCBM www.unicampus.it (hereinafter “Site”) and must be understood as an integral part of the Privacy Policy of the same.

2. What are cookies

A "cookie" is a small text file that can be stored in a dedicated space on the hard disk of the device used by the user (e.g. computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when he visits a website through your browser and may be subject to the user's prior consent before being installed. Through cookies, a site remembers the user's actions and preferences (such as, for example, login data, lingchosen ua, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not have to be indicated again when the user returns to visit the site or navigate from one page to another. Cookies, therefore, are used to perform computer authentication, monitor sessions and store information regarding the activities of users who access a site and can also contain a unique identification code that allows tracking of the user's navigation within of the site itself for statistical or advertising purposes. While browsing a site, the user may also receive cookies from sites or web servers other than the one he is visiting (so-called "third party" cookies) on his computer or mobile device. Some operations could not be carried out without the use of cookies, which in certain cases are therefore technically necessary for the functioning of the site.

There are various types of cookies, depending on their characteristics and functions, and these can remain on the user's computer or mobile device for different periods of time: so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed; so-called persistent cookies, which remain on the user's equipment until a pre-established expiry date.

Based on applicable legislation, express user consent is not always required for the use of cookies. In particular, the so-called do not require consent. "technical cookies", i.e. those used for the sole purpose of transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. In other words, these are cookies that are essential for the functioning of the site or, in any case, necessary to carry out activities requested by the user. Among the technical cookies, which do not require express consent for their use, the Italian Guarantor for the protection of personal data (see provision Identification of simplified methods for the information and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies of the 8 May 2014 - hereinafter only "Provision" - and, lastly, the Cookie Guidelines and other tracking tools of 10 June 2021 - hereinafter only "Guidelines") also includes:

- first-party and third-party statistical or analytical cookies, if tools are adopted that reduce the identifying power of the cookies and the third party does not cross-reference the information collected with other information it already has, used to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site itself;

- navigation or session cookies (to authenticate), the deactivation of which compromises the use of the services accessible from login;

- functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, lawingua, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.

Conversely, for "profiling cookies", i.e. those aimed at identifying the user's preferences in order to improve and personalize his browsing experience and/or show him market communicationsing in line with the preferences expressed during navigation, as well as for third-party statistical or analytical cookies, if tools that reduce the identifying power of cookies are not adopted and the third party crosses the information collected with other information it already has, it is required prior consent from the user.

3. Types of Cookies used by the site and possibility of (de-)selection

Please note that the Site uses the following cookies, which can also be deselectedingregularly (as specified below in the section relating to “Cookie settings”):

• technical navigation cookies: these cookies allow the Site to function correctly and allow you to view its contents; their possible deactivation would lead to malfunctions of the Site; technical navigation cookies also include session and functionality cookies, used to activate specific functions of the Site and to configure the Site based on your choices (for example, theingua, authentication, etc.), in order to improve your browsing experience;

• analytical or statistical cookies, which are not functional to the operation of the Site and which allow the Owner to statistically monitor the use of the Site by visitors and analyze traffic to and from the Site; these cookies allow the Owner to carry out statistical analyses, aimed at improving the Site and simplifying its use, as well as monitoring its correct functioning. An example is the presence of Google Analytics analytical cookies on the Site, a Google product that allows the Owner to understand how users interact with the Site; Google Analytics uses a set of cookies to collect information and generate statistics on the use of the Site by visitors and to keep track of the traffic generated within it;

• cookies or other market trackersing and first and third party profiling, used to observe the preferences revealed by the user through navigation and use of the Site and outline profiles relating to the user, in order to create commercial communications and a browsing experience in line with the preferences expressed by the same when surfing the net.

An example is represented by the presence of "social plugins" (of Facebook, Youtube, Twiter, Flickr, Instagram, Linkedin) and social media walls (e.g. Youtube video content). These are parts of the page visited, generated directly by the aforementioned sites and integrated into the page of the host site and their use is aimed at sharing the contents of the social networks of UCBM and their presence involves the transmission of profiling cookies to and from all sites managed by third parties.

It is specified that the aforementioned third parties process personal data as data controllers on behalf of the Data Controller, pursuant to specific agreements for the processing of data pursuant to art. 28 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679. The third parties, listed below with the relevant hyperlinks to the privacy policies, typically also act as independent data controllers of the data collected through the cookies sent by them; in this case the user gives or refuses consent directly to the owner of the cookie in question to which the Site merely refers.
