The aim of this study is the development of a standardized algorithm based on the use of innovative technologies (such as wearable sensors) to calculate the risk of ischemic stroke and to adopt personalized strategies of prevention
Project Objectives
The aim of this study is to identify simple and innovative tools, such as the use of wearable devices/wristband, that could quantify the individual risk for ischemic stroke in relation to the presence of different, modifiable, risk factors and to provide indications on customized and effective life-style interventions. In particular, the objectives of the trial will be: (i) to reduce the risk of cerebrovascular events in patients previously affected by stroke or TIA; (ii) to realize an algorithm based on the data acquired by wearable sensors and clinical history (arterial pressure, cardiac rhythm, pulsoxymetry, lifestyle habits) which will be able to calculate and predict the risk of major cerebrovascular events (in particular stroke and TIA) in high-risk patients, in order to create individualized prevention programs.
