The SIRIO navigation system as a guide for performing biopsy procedures
Project objectives
The SIRIO Project is a prospective, non-randomized, multicenter study designed to verify the efficacy and clinical accuracy of the SIRIO augmented reality navigation system in performing percutaneous biopsies of suspicious malignant lesions in the lung, bone, and retroperitoneal regions that cannot be approached by ultrasound. The study envisions enrolling a large number of patients at seven Italian centers (Alessandria, Bologna, Brescia, L'Aquila, Milan, Naples, and Rome), selected based on their extensive experience in performing biopsy procedures.
