August 3, 2023 - The call is available online "Women in STEM", an initiative aimed at enhancing the role of women in the field of science.
The Giuseppina Mai FoundationIn partnership with Bracco Foundation and the STEAMiamoci project, together with Assolombarda, presents the second edition of the national call to promote the presence of women in studies related to STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
Through this project, the Mai Foundation will offer 7 scholarships worth 3.000 euros each to deserving female students enrolled in the first year of the Master's Degree Course in the STEM sectors, for the Academic Year 2022/2023.
The objective of this initiative is to encourage greater female participation in scientific faculties, where the percentage of women enrolled is still low. The aim is to support female university students in realizing their career plans in the field of innovation and technology, helping to reduce the phenomenon of early school leaving.
There is also the possibility of activating mentorship programs in collaboration with associations and companies of the Confindustria system, in order to accompany female students into the world of work.
This project is part of the activities of the Foundation, which collaborates with other realities such as the project #STEAMLet's get together, promoted by Confindustria, with the aim of supporting the presence of women in the world of work and encouraging their active participation in economic and social life, with particular attention to the STEM sector.
