Call for applications Scholarships to support international mobility - 2014-2015 academic year - 10.000 Euros

SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR THE ASSIGNMENT OF SCHOLARSHIPS TO SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY AY 2014-15

The Board of Directors of the ALUMNI ASSOCIATION ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, in order to promote the internationalization of the University, launches a selection procedure for the assignment of three scholarships for a value that can vary from €5.000,00 up to €10.000,00 to support international mobility in countries European and non-European.

Recipients of the selection

Those who have acquired an academic qualification at the University can apply.Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and who therefore are part of the Alumni Association at the time of submitting the applications as:

  • enrolled in a st or nd level Master's
  • enrolled in a PhD
  • enrolled in a specialization school
  • Alumni with university contract
  • External alumni under the age of 35 on the call's expiry date

Eligible activities

Study, research and internship activities related to the academic path and/or professional activity carried out in collaboration with a corresponding Alumnus of the Campus Bio-Medico University, stabilized abroad, through an appropriate letter of intent to be stipulated among the Membership entities.

Mobility period and duration

The beginning of the mobility is expected from September 2014. Its duration is up to 1 year of stay abroad.

Those who intend to compete for the scholarship must send it no later than 16.00 pm on 31 March 2014 the application form in paper format (Annex 1) to the International Relations Office ofUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, in Via Alvaro del Portillo n. 21, 00121 Rome, by registered mail or direct delivery.

The following must be attached to the application form:

  • resume
  • copy of the identity document
  • self-certification of the qualification obtained with relative mark
  • any other academic qualifications and scientific production
  • detailed project of the study, research and/or internship activity (specifying: objectives, methodology, expected results, any references, expected cost and requested scholarship, up to a maximum value of 10.000 euros); the project must be signed by the interested party and by the corresponding Alumnus stabilized abroad
  • letter of intent between the Institutions involved, with texts approved by the President of the Alumni Association
  • any letters of reference

Applications with incomplete documentation will not be accepted.

Scholarship and timing of disbursement

The value of the scholarship can vary from 5.000 to 10.000 euros, at the discretion of the Commission referred to below. The first installment of the amount equal to 70% will be disbursed within 30 days of the presentation of the travel ticket, the balance within 30 days of the presentation of the final report of the project, signed by the interested party and his/her foreign contact person.

The applications will be evaluated with unquestionable judgment by the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association and the candidates deemed suitable will be summoned by email for an interview with the Board itself to discuss the contents of the project presented. The names of the winners will be published on the website of theUCBM/Alumni.
