HE IS DOCTOR IN BIOETHICS AND DOCTOR IN SYSTEMATIC MORAL THEOLOGY.

Giuseppe Tonini he is Full Professor of Medical Oncology and UOC Director of Medical Oncology at the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital of Rome. Since 2004 he has held the role of Director of the School of Specialization in Medical Oncology and Coordinator of the Research Doctorate in Osteoncological Pathology at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. For over 20 years he has been a Professor of Oncology in the Degree Courses in Medicine and Surgery, Nursing and in the Specialization Schools in Medical Oncology, Plastic Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Hematology, Pathological Anatomy and General Surgery. Giuseppe Tonini He is also Head of the Oncology Research Unit and the Translational Oncology Laboratory where he coordinates various research projects aimed at identifying new biomarkers predictive of response to anti-tumor treatments with a particular focus on immunotherapies. Since 2014 he has been Coordinator of the AIOM Guidelines for the Treatment of Biliary Tumors and, since November 2021, he has been President of the Permanent Conference of the Masters in "Palliative Care and Pain Therapy". Furthermore, he carries out an intense editorial activity as "Editor in Chief" of the journal "Expert Opinion on Investigational Drugs" and as a member of the Editorial Board of the international scientific journals "Expert Opinion on Pharmacotherapy", "La Clinica Terapeutica", "Hepatic Oncology”, “Colorectal Cancer”, “Expert Review of Anticancer Therapy”, “Future Medicine”, “Journal of Cancer Therapy” and "Frontiers in Ocology".
Cardiologist expert in coronary, valvular, structural interventional cardiology and congenital heart disease, he carries out research and teaching activities in innovative techniques of valvular and structural interventional cardiology. Since December 2018 he has carried out teaching and assistance activities at the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital, where he holds the position of full professor of Cardiology with coordination and teaching duties at the Master's Degree Program Medicine and Surgery, and teaching at the Medicine degree course and surgery and physiotherapy. A pioneer in percutaneous transcatheter valvular interventional cardiology, he has performed more than 5000 valvular structural coronary interventional cardiology and congenital heart disease procedures. He authored and co-authored 200 journal articles with impact factor, and 10 book chapters on interventional cardiology.
