Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Deputy Director of the School of Specialization in Internal Medicine at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, from a healthcare point of view, he is responsible for highly specialized professional functions (complex functions) in the Internal Medicine and Hepatology Area of the Fondazione Universitario Policlinico Campus Bio-Medico of Rome. The research activity, in collaboration with national and international groups, is mainly focused on metabolic and autoimmune liver diseases, with particular reference to genetic predisposition factors and non-invasive stratification of the risk of disease progression. Bruno Vincenzi is a Medical Oncologist and Full Professor in Oncology at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. Prof. Vincenzi has consolidated clinical and translational research experience in the field of rare tumors and collaborates with important national and international reference centers. One of his main lines of research is focused on the genetic and molecular characterization of rare neoplasms with particular attention to the study of soft tissue sarcomas and gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST). Prof. Vincenzi coordinates several research projects aimed at identifying new factors predictive of efficacy of chemotherapy treatments and new biomarkers involved in resistance to anticancer therapies in patients suffering from rare tumors. He is also an active member of the EORTC (European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Soft Tissue and Bone Sarcoma) and of the board of directors of the ISG (Italian Sarcoma Group) and coordinates, for the Campus Bio-Medico University, several multicenter clinical trials on patients suffering from rare tumors.
Associate Professor of Applied Biology since 2015 at the Departmental Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, he is present at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma since 2007, where he is a professor of Biology and Coordinator of the Integrated Courses in Biology and Genetics (CdS Medicine), Chemistry and Biological Sciences (CdS TRMIR) and Biology and Biochemistry (CdS Physiotherapy). Francesco Branda was born in Calabria in Belvedere Marittimo (CS) in 1994 and currently holds the position of Contract Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, where he teaches several courses in medical statistics. His research focuses on the integration of medical statistics, digital epidemiology, and epidemic intelligence systems, with a particular focus on the genomic and epidemiological surveillance of emerging infectious diseases, including SARS-CoV-2, mpox, and avian influenza, as well as climate-sensitive diseases such as dengue and chikungunya. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications, including articles in high-impact journals such as The Lancet. He actively collaborates with World Health Organization (WHO) initiatives, such as the Collaboratory and the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN), as well as with international academic partners, for the development of AI-based surveillance systems to support the One Health approach and global health resilience. For his contributions to promoting open science, the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, and strengthening pandemic preparedness, he was included in Fortune Italia's 2024 "40 Under 40" list and received the 2024 Magna Grecia Awards, in recognition of the quality of his research and his commitment to disseminating scientific knowledge.
