Graduated in medicine and surgery, specialist in infectious diseases and with a university degree in public health and tropical medicine.

An expert in international cooperation, he has coordinated cooperation projects in various developing countries (Peru, Albania, Congo, Nicaragua, Cameroon, Uganda, Kenya and Madagascar) in the sector of public health and health education.

He is currently responsible for the international university cooperation projects ofUniversità Campus Bio-medico di Roma, aimed at professional training and bio-medical research aimed at solving the health problems of the populations of the South of the world.

Francesco Pantano is a Medical Oncologist and Full Professor at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. You have a degree in Medicine and Surgery, a Specialization in Medical Oncology and a PhD in Osteo-Oncological Pathology at theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. From 2012 to 2014 he carried out research abroad, as a PhD student and PostDoc, at INSERM in Lyon where he focused on the role of integrin alpha5 in bone metastasis processes in pre-clinical models of breast cancer, He is currently co-head of the Translational Oncology Laboratory at the Campus Bio-Medico University where he coordinates several research projects aimed at identifying new non-predictive biomarkers of efficacy to immunotherapies and new potential therapeutic targets in advanced stage solid neoplasms.
