The departmental faculty of Engineering of theUniversità Campus Bio-Medico di Roma organizes the course "Radiation-matter interaction and applications" which will be held by prof. Massimo Inguscio, full professor of Structure of Matter, Atomic Physics and Optics, at the University of Florence and President of the National Research Council (CNR).

The objective of this course is to provide, first of all, some hints of quantum mechanics useful for explaining the operation of a laser and the applications deriving from its use.

There are 30 hours of lessons, Wednesdays 11:00 am-01:00 pm and Thursdays 02:00 pm - 04:00 pm; the course will end by 31 May 2018 and the recipients of the course are doctoral students, researchers and second year students of the master's degree course in Biomedical Engineering.
