"From Basic Science to Commercialization: How Research Drives Innovation"

Science and technology are recognized as critical for advancing society and sustained economic growth. What basic research drives science and innovation? What policies are needed to create a prosperous environment for basic research? What benchmarks can be used to assess the impact of such policies? On the occasion of the 12th biennial Joint Commission Meeting on Science and Technology, the US Embassy in Rome and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation organize an Open Forum event: "From Basic Science to Commercialization: How Research Drives Innovation".

The professor. Eugenio Guglielmelli (UCBM) will take part in the event representing the Network for the Enhancement of University Research (Netval).
